Different Types Of Bet

Advanced Bets

Double (UK and US)
A double bet is a bet on two horses to win two different races. If your horse wins in the first race then all the winnings are placed on the second horse in the following race.

For example if your first horse wins at 3/1 and your second wins at 5/1 and you bet 10 pounds you will get back. (3x10) + 10= 40 from the first race and then this amount is put on the second race. Therefore total winnings are (5x40)+40= 240 pounds.

Place Double (UK and US)
The same as a double but you are betting that the horses will be placed rather than win.

Each-Way Double (UK)
An each-way double is when half your stake is placed on two horses in two races to win and the other half on the same two horses to place. Therefore a combination of a win double and a place double.

Treble (UK) / Pick 3 (US)
This is a bet on three horses in three different races. This is the same as a double but if you win the first two races all the winnings are placed on the horse in the third race.

Fourfold (UK) / Pick 4 (US)
The same as a treble but with one more horse added.

Accumulator (UK)
A bet on a number of horses in any amount of races. The rewards can be huge but obviously it is very unlikely all your horses will come in.

Straight Forecast (UK) / Exacta (US) (also known as Perfecta)
A bet on which horses will finish first and second in the correct order.

Reversed Forecast (UK) / Quinella
A bet on which horses will finish first and second in any order.

Tricast (UK) / Trifecta (US)
A bet on which horses will finish first, second and third in the correct order.

Superfecta (US)
A bet on which horses will finish first, second, third and fourth in the correct order.

Quadpot (UK)
A bet on which horses will be placed in the four quadpot races of the day.
