Next Throw after the point has been established.
Let's say the point number is 6 on the shooter's next throw there are a number of different outcomes.
1. If the shooter throws a 6 then the shooter is said to have won and they will start their go again with another "come out roll" and again try to establish another point.
2. If the shooter throws a 7 the shooter is said to have "sevened out" and this is then end of the shooters go and the dice will be passed to the player on their left.
3. If the shooter throws a 2,3,4,5,8,9,10,11 or 12 the shooter retains the dice and throws again to try and get a 6.
As you can see once the point has been established the player is trying to throw their point number again before they throw a 7. If they do this then the player starts again with another "come out roll" and tries to establish another point. As you can see a single player's turn can last anywhere from about a minute up to half an hour or more depending on how many times he wins.
This simple flow chart below shows the outcomes of one players turn.
The two main things to remember are the player retains the dice no matter what the outcome of the "come out roll" is. The player loses the dice if they throw a 7 after the point has been established.
