The Hardway Bets
The hardway bet is betting that any point number will come up the so called "hardway". The hardway is when both dice have the same number i.e. getting a 4 with a 2 and 2. The point numbers that can be rolled the hardway are 2,6,8 and 10.
For example if the point has been established and it is the number 4 and you have placed a bet on 4 coming up the hardway there are four possible outcomes.
1. If the shooter throws a 2 and 2 making 4 you win the bet and you will be paid out at odds of 7/1. (Hardway 4 and 10 are paid at 7/1 and Hardway 6 and 8 are paid at 9/1)
2. If the shooter throws 4 and it is made up of a 1 and 3 you will lose the bet and the dealer will take your chips.
3. If the shooter throws a 7 you will lose the bet and the dealer will take your chips.
4. If the shooter throws 2,3,5,6,8,9,10,11 or 12 your bet will neither win nor lose and the bet remains where it is.
