The don't pass bet is almost the opposite bet to the pass line bet except a throw of 12 is treated slightly differently. To place a don't pass bet put your chips on betting layout where it says "Don't Pass Bar". This bet is only made before the come out roll.

Outcomes of a don't pass bet on the shooters "come out roll".
1. If the shooter throws a 7 or 11 you have lost the bet and the dealer will take your chips.
2. If the shooter throws a 2,3 you have won the bet immediately and you will be paid out at evens.
3. If the shooter throw a 12 this is said to be a tie ("push") and your bet remains where it is.
4. If the shooter throws a 4,5,6,8,9 or 10 a point has been established and you have not yet won or lost your bet and it remains where it is.
Outcomes of a don't pass bet once a point has been established.
Lets say as an example the point number is 5.
1. If the shooter throws a 7 you have won the bet and you will be paid out at evens.
2. If the shooter throws a 5 you have lost the bet and the dealer will take your chips.
3. If the shooter throws a 2,3,4,6,8,9,10,11,12 you have neither won nor lost and your bet remains where it is.
After a point has been established you are allowed to remove your bet from the table but you should never do this as the odds of winning in this situation are in your favour.
